Meet Toku,
The Clockmakers Apprentice.

A new character for a new animation project!

He is my personal character animation challenge. I want to practice fine detail animation. And what better way to do so than have a four armed kid put together a pocket watch behind the shopkeeper's back.

His name came from a wonderful moment between and I around 5 in the morning!
I was pondering what to name him, and she came up with Tock! After a good bit of laugh, we somehow got on memories of Japanese class, and then with all the grace of 2 + 2, we decided on Toku, it just stuck!

At least thats the quick of things
LOTS of drawings and storyboards to come soon.

This was a fun sketch that I had to do a color study on. After that, I just couldn't put it down!
I am always up for thoughts when it comes to new characters, so dont be shy!

(I cant wait to get my hands on a Cintiq again!)
