We got a chance to catch up with Madeleine Lindstrom for an exclusive photoshoot and interview after what has been a hectic but impressive start to her ACC career. Her first fight saw her up against a highly rated fighter in Chesnokova, but the young Swede finished the supposed grappling expert in the very first round with a rear naked choke. Next up she faces tournament favourite, Gabriella Reyes, for a spot in the final.
We asked Madeleine how she felt about her first fight and what she expects to come up against when she goes toe-to-toe with Reyes.
"I'm not going to say anything negative about Tamara Chesnokova, I have respect for anyone that steps foot in the ring. I was just the better fighter on the night and I wanted the victory more. I'm sure she'll be back and I'll give her a chance for a rematch once I'm Champion"
"As for Gabriela Reyes... she's a tough fighter, I've been watching her tapes and she has dominated everywhere she's gone. But she's never faced a Lindstrom... we're a different breed"
