LOVE the coloring. Turns this from a 10/10 to a 100/10!

I think this is one of the most beautiful renditions of her I've seen. You're obviously really in touch with the character and not just your inner pervert (lol). Great job!

Of all the Chun-Li art I've seen on the entire internet, this is my favorite piece. Love the style, the pose, the anatomy -- it's got everything.

this is simply wonderful. I love the feel of the pick, one happy chun-li kicking some serious butt. the pose is very nice. O_o happily dynamic, I guess would be a nice way of putting it.

I've always admired how well you can incorperate action into your art~ Every little detail seems to lend itself to the whole picture looking so fluid in motion. And it's Chun-li!

Wow! Although I don't like Chun-Li to tell you the truth, but I just LOVE the way you colored her. The use of foreshortening is very well done and the pose is dramatic. I especially like the way you colored her hair. The effects you had used with Photoshop almost looked like you actually used watercolor to paint that pic.

That ass is really nice....oop...I mean the drawing of course. Only problem I see is the face and the hair bud but the colouring hides it well

Nic coloring job, especially on the pants. Does indeed look painterly. Her right arm is really long though, the bicep part that is. Imagine not having her left arm and seeing where the right arm connects to the torso. If her right arm were visible like that, then her back would be much more twisted away from the viewer. But yeah, I really do like the Painterly feel to this. Did you just work with a hard brush with the opacity and flow turned down?

apsylus In reply to Crimsonjassic [2004-04-06 12:28:23 +0000 UTC]

I kinda intended her back to be twisted, but I don't think it came across that well Oh well....
I use low opacity (50%) brush, with opacity control turned to pen pressue ^^

Crimsonjassic In reply to apsylus [2004-04-06 15:40:03 +0000 UTC]

Ha ha, I don't know why I never considered turning the opacity control to pen pressure. I get a similar result when I turn both the opacity and flow down to around 30%. I'll have to try working with a pen-controlled opacity next time.
