Description
Seliph from FE4 for *AverageStatsEmblem .
I have not played this game so I’m sorry if the psychedelic colors aren’t fitting for the character, but this is the idea for the background that I got looking at a screenshot of the animation of the Loptyr tome.

Excuse me. Would you mind letting me use this for a Death Battle?
I'd give full credit of course.

I'm not a big fan of pink myself and never played this Fire Emblem game, but I have to admit that everything looks great, even the background. Combined with his expression and this interesting lightning I can really imagine how this scene is part of an epic fight.
Once again, I think you did a wonderful job!

Is that fire emblem?
I could not understand how to play that game..
Anyway, it looks very pleasing to the eye.
Proportions, colouring, posing, and the background seem to mesh together extremely well.

Yes, it is. Haha, which Fire Emblem did you try to play? It does take some getting used to. I think the newest one is a lot easier to get into, though.
Thanks, I appreciate that and I'm glad you think everything fits together well!

Ahh, FE10 then? I think the game is definitely worth figuring out how to play; it's rare to find such addictive strategy gameplay combined with a really varied and engaging cast. Awakening does a better job at explaining its own mechanics than the older games, though.

Hm. Sounds cool.
I don't own the game though. My family visits these friends every once in a while, and I always play on their Wii. Must are stupid, but I love to play Super Mario Bros and Punch Out. I feel like Punch Out is the perfect NES game to turn into a Wii game.

Oh my gosh you drew Celice! (as he was called back on the old, beloved unofficial translation I know him from) It is wonderful to see one of my favorite characters in your life-filled style.

Thank you very much, I really appreciate your enthusiastic comment! I'm glad you like the style and happy to know that one of his fans likes this picture. (Ah yes, getting used to the official translations has been jarring for me too, particularly with Raigh in FE6 since I always knew him as Ray. I figure the faster I adapt to using them the better since they're canon now, although the old names will always be nostalgic.)

Wow! This is really great!
Mixing your beautifully smooth style with a more sinister, chaotic background produces a very good contrasting effect. Since you create many serene pieces of art (which are still awesome, BTW), I felt like my request would shake things up a little bit, and offer you to do something different.
Plus, this means there's more art representing FE 4 on Deviantart (I find that there's a slight lack of those). Haven't actually played the game's fan translation yet, but the character artwork is just... inspiring, somehow, and deserves more attention.
Thank you very much for this! I'm looking forward to what other drawings you have planned.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a long comment! I'm glad you like the contrast between the character and the background, and I was glad for a chance to do FE4 fanart as well since it is indeed underrepresented and I've heard many good things about it, despite not having played it myself. Thank you also for the compliment on my more peaceful drawings, I'm glad you like them.
You're welcome, and thanks again for the subscription! It'll be great to see you start uploading work, as well.

That animation must had given you a pretty creative motive on the background- it might not look most best on Seliph but when you might look at it on another way, I could imagine this pic being part of the final boss fight scenario in FE4. Nonetheless you gave us some flipside with this quirky background contrasting with the character.
I managed to play this game a bit, and it's one of the more massive-feeling FEs out there: chapters and their objective take quite a hefty time to clear, along with the maps being really drawn-out and massive. It's not the hardest one out there, but it might be the most difficult to venture through in a proper manner if you try to rush through it. (I think the prologue took me about under hour to clear at best.)

lol your polite euphemisms for the background, it's okay to say "wow that is a garish hot pink" I toned it down to make it more predominantly dark blue, but can't tell if it makes a difference. Contrast was the goal though, yes.
Yeah, I started playing the prologue once, and I just got this overwhelming impression that I was going to need to look up a guide if I didn't want to completely screw myself over by the halfway point of the game. Also I've heard that the entire thing takes around 80 hours, which is daunting, although those who have played it seem to love it so I'm sure it's worth the time. Massive is definitely how it comes across. One of these days when I'm in the mood, maybe.

Sorry, I can't help it, huhahah--- Maybe I seem to slip up talking almost honeyed when looking artwork I find looking good even if it seems kinda thrown out in a whim. *scratches floor OTL* (-ö~ö-);
But I personally think it's quite nifty to look at even if it was that pink, hahah? Maybe it adds to the intensity, at least from my view. ^_(-ñ3ñ-);_^
(I checked the Tumblr-version that I reblogged before though and I might say that it seems to blend more well with Seliph. So yeah, I think it makes some difference, it looks to be more seamless.)
Are you kidding me though, 80 hours? I never even heard it'd take that long, but perhaps if it's about completing it close to 100%... I mean I'd be jarred if it was a regular playthrough along with the bonuses and side objectives during chapters. Perhaps might have to think twice before getting back into to it.
And yeah, you really need a guide in order to play this game through anyway properly- and a big emphasis on need... (I never had so difficult time with planning marriages and just following what to do to get best out of this game-). But I believe the same, I'm sure it's worth the investment. Kinda sad that Jugdral-saga's not too remembered by I.S when compared to other sagas, for some reason.
Reading the manga based on the games (especially Mitsuki Oosawa's) helps me get immersed to it more though and also relax. It's faithful and nice adaptation. Might suggest you'd try readin' it if clearing the game! (-l<>l-)

Haha, that's fine. Thanks. xD Yeah, I think the bg fits better when it's got some red in it. I realized I forgot to put my sig on the dark blue version and didn't feel like going back and adding it so that convinced me to put the first version back up heh
I have no idea if it was just a slow player or what, but I found the number as part of some game review. Definitely seems to be longer than more recent FEs at any rate.
Yeah, the marriages are where I figure I'd have the most chance of making mistakes. Maybe the necessity of a guide combined with being only released in Japan can be blamed for the lack of recognition for the Jugdral games; FE wasn't a well-known series until FE13, and even the ones that did come out overseas are really hard to get ahold of nowadays.
Thanks for the recommendation, I enjoy game-based mangas so I'll have to remember that!
