I’ve told you on previous pages we’ll see the trauma. Yeah, it’s severe. And surreal. But I felt I want to draw it this way. Yes, it’s debatable whether Miles was suicidal or not, and for a long time I thought he wasn’t... until I’ve reconsidered everything happened to him. He might at least have such thoughts. “Miles Edgeworth chooses death” and disappearance for a year meant something, it was not a joke or being dramatic. He is too serious to be theatrical, but also too stoic to admit anything aloud (that’s why I’ve decided to show his thoughts and feelings only visually). But he also is a person with remarkably strong will. And he learned how to live with his guilt to help other people. And to not repeat his past mistakes. His blind belief in justice was such a clear projection of him seeking punishment for himself as Miles thought he was his father’s murderer, I don’t understand, why we don’t speak more about it. He was so brutal to others as he was brutal to himself. And who taught him to be kinder, ey? Kinder to others and kinder to himself? No, I have no clue

But it’s a long journey to treat yourself kindly enough. Miles is still ruthless to himself, as you’ll see later.
