Download is highly recommended, thanks!It's finally done! There it is, the final ref of one of my main characters for my story. I worked for years on her design and now it's complete. There are still some things I'm not completely satisfied with but at least this design finally feels right now. I'm not a fan of ref sheets full of text so I tried to keep things short as much as I could. If you're still having any questions please don't hesitate to ask. If you like to see the old one, it's in my scraps folder now: [link] .....so ashamed of this thing.
Another side note: Valkyrerjar's are not an open species, so you aren't aloud to make one right now. Sorry!
edit: made the wing markings stand out more and added more shading to them so they blend better into the wing.

Awww, dieser Drache ist ja total cool. Ich liebe die Flügel und diese tollen Details in ihnen sehr. Die Federn sind dir sehr gut gelungen und auch die Mosaik-ähnlichen Zeichnungen in den Flügeln sehen gut aus. Es wirkt als hätte der Drache Kristall auf seinen Federn. Auch die Pose und die Flügel von oben mag ich sehr. Der Schweif hat es mir besonders angetan, auch wenn es Federn sind, wirkt er auf den ersten Blick doch stark wie eine Klinge. Die Farbvielfalt der ganzen Sache ist dir schön gelungen. Ich mag den Kopf auch sehr und die Zähne sind in blau auch mal was anderes. Der Federschmuck am Hals und am ganzen Körper hat sicher sehr lange gedauert, aber dafür hat es sich auch voll und ganz gelohnt. Besonders gefallen mir die Augen. Der Regenbogenschein darin ist besonders schön geworden. Ich mag so etwas auch sehr. Auch die feinen Federn am Schweifansatz sehen super aus. Verbunden durch einen dünnen Federkiel wirken sie doch sehr zerbrechlich und sehen so aus, als würden sie ausfallen können, aber dem scheint ja nicht so zu sein. Der Kopfschmuck und die niedliche Nase mag ich auch. Besonders die rosanen Schimmer am Nasenansatz sehen toll aus. Ach, ein super Bild

Ich arbeite seit vielen Jahren an ihrem Design und es hat sich schon sehr gewandelt. Aber jetzt bin ich endlich weitgehend zufrieden damit

auch wenn ich es gern könnte. Naja... ach ja, sie gefällt mir gut und
ich schreibe eigentlich immer so große Kommentare auf Deutsch ^^°
Aber das mit dem Design kenne ich irgendwie, geht mir auch immer so

Bei den Zähnen musste ich leicht schmunzeln, alles blau XD Aber jetzt sieht man absolut, was ihr Element ist. Man... super.

It's very pretty, but where would her flight muscles attach? There'd be no room because of her legs, so her flight muscles wouldn't be able to pull her wings down with enough force for her to even clear the ground?

Ahh right I see. Most of the dragons/gryffons etc have tiny wing muscles but that one's quite accurate

I'm sorry, I can't explain it properly in english. They are not exactly on the back but she can move them up and down with ease. I've seen an animated 3D dragon model, similar to this and it could move without problem. I'm trying to look for a good example.
On the other hand, it's called fantasy. I don't believe a four legged dragon or gryphon/pegasus would ever be able to fly properly. Their hind body parts would drag them down and their shape is not aerodynamic. There is a reason why dragons don't exist in real life. I always try to make my creatures believable but I'm an artist, not a scientist. There will be always someone who see the mistakes, no matter how realistic the creature seems to be. That's why I don't really like to answer such questions XD
