Description
Leo (♌︎) is a fire sign. The constellation Leo is associated with the mythological Nemean lion, who was a vicious monster in Greek mythology that lived at Nemea. It was eventually killed by Heracles/Hercules in the first of the Twelve Labours he had to complete. It could not be killed with mortals' weapons because its golden fur was impervious to attack. Its claws were sharper than mortals' swords and could cut through any armour. Heracles eventually killed the lion by strangling it with his bare hands. The goddess Athena, noticing the hero's plight, told Heracles to use one of the lion's own claws to skin the pelt. He wore the Nemean lion's coat since then, in order to face the dangers of the new quests.

This is the first zodiac I drew some years ago for my friend Carmen, who requested it. With this, I finished my classic zodiac series but I plan on continuing with the Chinese Zodiac! I hope you like it Thanks for visiting!
