Description
A restricted random walk on a grid of squares. The grid is wrapped onto a torus. The history of the walk is shown using a dynamic colour scale: The oldest steps are deep blue, the most recent, deep red, rising through an inverted rainbow spectrum. The walker has equal probability of going in each principle direction (up, down, left, right) on every step but only moves one square each time. Because the grid is on a torus, the walker can leave via any edge and arrive on the opposite side. Squares that are re-visited are re-coloured deep red.
