Description
An old, gnarly lime tree not far from my hometown. I'll probably go there again, because this picture just doesn't do it justice!10mm - 1/400 - f8 - ISO 400

Where's the limes? XD
I like this shot. It's got a nice perspective! Unfortunately, I've seen many shots like this because I've been to the Sequoia Nat'l Park (the one with those trees that are wider than cars). It sounds like a nice tree to sit under and just relax, though.

I was wondering if I should use the name "linden tree", for you American peeps... but I liked lime tree better!
There are a few benches under that tree, they're not on the photo. So it's a good place to relax, indeed! Right next to a restaurant, too.

I have no idea what a "linden tree" is. XD LOL. No wonder I missed all the questions on the plant section for Biology (which we never learned).
Wow, I woudn't think a tree like that would be anywhere near a restaurant! It seems so "in the woods" um, type (yes, I'm great at description XD).

That's because I tried hard to keep any sign of civilization out of the shot ^^ There's roads on two sides, and the restaurant (it's a whole castle, actually) on the third side... but all that doesn't really make for a good picture, I thought. I just wanted the tree!

You know, this is completely irrelevant to the topic, but I freaked out when your icon changed. XD I was updating my journal and all of a sudden I see this different icon. So I thought I spelled "arbitrary" wrong and had to cut and paste. Hahaha.
Oh, I see. Wow, in that case, I think you did a great job of "invoking a certain feeling". That's what photography is all about. Yup. Make us think you took a 5 hour hike to get to a tree like that. XD
