Heck yeah! It's fairly simple yet occasionally time consuming. All you need is a webcam, some program to capture the images(or you could just hit the print screen button and crop every single frame), and some program able to animate gifs. I use the Animation Shop.

Actually, not too long to take the pictures, but it took a while to figure out how to use the animating program with the webcam.
