If I remember right, I made that from plaster ("dental stone", to be more precise.) It was one of a dozen of faces with different expressions, casted several hundred times. Loosely repeating, made a frieze for a hairdressers shop.
There are very few photos left from that time, unfortunately, had a total data loss about ten years ago.
