She is a beautiful deer and a true natural resident of the wilderness. ^^

Thank you very much, I agree, caribou deer are indeed very beautiful, being her a druid of some sort reinforcing the bound with the wild is ever so necessary .

You are very welcome, it was a pleasure to draw her and a good experience too with a specie I've never drawn before

This turned out nicely!Β There's a mystical, but pleasant quality about the scene.Β It's as if there is no difference between singing as a spiritual exercise and singing for the simple joy of it.Β I like the pose of the figure and as others have said, the butterfly makes a good counterpoint.

Thank you very much! I am glad you think there is a mystical feeling to it, she is a druid so I tried to show that she not only commune with the environment she lives and works on but enjoys doing it too. Her song, like a howl echoes through the air, calling the wild spirits to dance at the moonlight .
The pose was a lot of fun to draw, the butterfly is open for interpretation, but in a more technical note, it came to add a bit of color and interest, the same principle I am using on my other experiments .

Very nicely done, Ariel!Β Well balanced with the background too.Β And the butterly's color works well against that moon.Β It has a nice kind of 'difference' in its design too.
The only adjustment I can see would be to hollow out Hyleren's tummy just a small amount, because she is stretched out and working to sing to the moon.

Thank you very much Ed, I am glad you liked, I love the recycled paper color & texture, they do make a very fun contrast with the white of the ink, I might even do a whole full-moon series of drawings later just to take the best of these materials . The butterfly wasn't on my first draft but I thought on adding a bit of color to enhance the fantasy aspect of the picture, it is pretty much the same idea I used on that howling wolf picture.
I see your point, my initial idea wasn't to show her in a full stretch, more like just looking up, but I agree that now she looks more stretched like wolves do when they howl

Hello:
Β The proportions are very good on this one, and it is intriguing to finally see someone from another race to sing to the moon. Was this a comission?
Β Also, nice butterfly!

Thank you very much! I am glad you liked her proportions, these experiments are a lot of fun to draw because I can freely work on poses I wouldn't do on my regular drawings . She is a druid and lives most the time around wolves, so howling became an habit I'd say
. This was a gift to Alessio, an artists whose work inspire me a lot
.
The butterfly was a soft touch I added to give the scene a small bit of color and to enhance the fantasy aspect of it

Hello:
Β You are welcome! . Druids appear a lot in your works
. Nice gift you made indeed!
Β It came out nicely, specially since it has that "tail" bit .

Druids are my favorite kind of magicians, and the ones that connect the most with me, so drawings them is always a lot of fun, hopefully a few more will be on the way .
Glad you noticed the little tail, they don't seem to serve a big purpose beyond being very cute I think
