yes....and no...i ment total.....in total there are eight...if you include the master emerald but if you want to get really technical about it there are 36 to my knowledge 8 for the four sonic dimentions that i know the UK comic series the TV show the american comic seires and the game universe.

yeah.....actually there are several dimentions but wheither or not they have emeralds is another thing.....the reason there are so many dimentions is because sonic was board and he couldn't leave well enough alone also in tune with the fact he he being courupted every time he goes super with chaotic energy......think about it the emeralds were created to hold and store the energy created durring the echidna war, and all the blood shed and death flowed into the master emerald and then flowed into the chaos emeralds.....and if sonic is using that energy for good he is creating an imbalance and that imbalance will consume him and cause dark chaotic energy to surface and create balance by doing or thinking dark things to balace out the good he did with the emeralds.....thus the reason we have dark sonic, also the reason why when sonic was hit by that emerald blast in the begining of sonic unleashed he was turned into the wearhog a being of dark earth energy..........oh sorry i rambled again.

yeah....it is surprising to me that sonic hasn't exploded or the darkness overtaken him yet......

metal sonic was sonics first rival....its metals hatred of being a copy of sonic and a near duplicate that makes him want to be better than sonic is so he can be his own person.

but yeah.....metal was and still is a powerfull villain in his own right....i mean ultamaitly all he wants is to be himself the hard part is he is a robot and the journey to find out who he is ment to be.....and i beileve that his destany is to defeat sonic when he is courrupted by the darkness of negative energy of the emeralds.....a great fic to read is metal overdrive it is pretty great on how metal ventures to become organic....to be alive.....to live....as himself....i mean it gets quite epic and revials the how sonic and eggman came to be.....(the fic actually referances the actual comic origin).....and i like how tails helps him and metal slowly becomes like a father to him its just awsome heres the link right here...

no really shadow is a perfect candidate...you see he is old enough he's like in his 30's or maybe 40's and that his fur markings and placments are almost identical to creams and that and creams fur is quite darker than her mothers.....and the time frame based on six years ago fits pretty well to.

personally i really don't like sonic/tails pairing but that is no excuse for you to be punished for being a fan of whatever.....i looked past it and seemed to have logical coversations with you.
but all in all i really don't see the big deal so what you have sensual yaoi crud on your account.....big woop......these days people treat yaoi like crack.....they can't get enough of it and they don't shut up about it.....but all in all its a great way to get noticed for ones artistic talent.
