This is one of those throwaway images that has turned out reasonably well in my eyes, which is why I am submitting it over a similar stored deviation rather than releasing it as a new one of its own.

It's an image taken before all the other blue-screen series shots; as such, this was something of a prototype idea-spawning capture than a conceptual piece in its own right. I was testing how the old compact camera would react to such bizarre light conditions. As one can see with the subsequent submissions, I rather liked the effect it created. There are times when compacts capture more atmosphere than their SLR bretheren, I think.

Anyway, this was taken in my room using the AV mode of my television as lighting. Post-work was minimal; the red cast was present in the original image, I merely gave it a bump in processing.

I like the abstract atmosphere this pulses. Kind-of like a post-apocalyptic space theme; 'though I'm not quite sure why that is. Either way, I'm digging the red halo.

Well, you're pretty-much spot on with that. An alternative title was going to be something 2001: A Space Odyssey-related but I couldn't really think of anything so I stuck with the simple numerals.

Get a new colorrr.
Like Green.
I like Green.
xD

Tis quite cool though, D.
I'm assuming the red is a table? Not sure how I feel about it though.
Ciaooo.

Hah. There's not a lot I can do about it when my television casts blue light. Once the leaves are back on the trees I'll probably have plenty of green shots, although I now have an IR filter so I guess I'll be playing with that more often than not.

The red that was there was from the surface that the television is placed upon, yeah. I just bumped it a bit.
I guess that this is something of an image that is an aquired taste; it's lo-fi photography that most people would call a throwaway shot. I guess there's something in it that I like, though. It had been sitting dormant on my HDD for some time.

A golden star because it made me smile

and then it made me want to cry

and it is a simple little everything

that sometimes you just need to hear

This was subconsiously influenced by Anathema. A band you should check out if you're at all into melancholic music.

I am, and I already have - but thanks I should have noticed that when I first read it

Heh, yes I thought at the time that I had all-but taken it from elsewhere, I couldn't think though.
