Description
Updated 09/01/2013 @ 13:40or, A Dream Fever Freneticy of Vertigo Automata.
Another image from the mothballed Spillers Mill, since demolished. Part of a larger series that explored abandoned industry, entitled Forlætan.
Not sure what happened with this one; I transitioned straight from utter frustration with the original clean composition to producing an analogue of a triple exposure almost without input from higher brain functions. I think I like the outcome, almost to the point where I may revisit one or two recent uploads.
That said, the technique could use some work.

You've concocted a very interesting photograph. I find it stimulating. The constellation of forms seems unified and yet "fractillated'' (I know, bad word.) - as if the image is 'reflecting upon itself.'Β I think this is a successful start. It should be very interesting experimenting with this process. Good luck with it! Nice. job.Β Isn't it curious what the unconscious will provide once your conscious mind gets out of the way?

Agreed. Sometimes I can sit for hours with nothing creative happening at all, then out of nowhere I'm hit with something. It's particularly evident in my early work, where I had nothing but an awful point-and-shoot to work with. Having a DSLR has made me occasionally lazy in that regard!

Whoa, that's trippy. At first I thought it was a bunch of bamboo shoots.

Ah, not quite bamboo! Although, I do enjoy that interpretation.

Heh, I'm not even sure I know what it is myself. It's some sort of wheat/flour distribution mechanism situated deep within an abandoned (and since razed) factory.
