Description
Updated 16/11/2009 @ 22:16A continuation of the Everything Must Go series of images; a documentary that critically catalogues the state of the town of Whitley Bay, my home-town.
The scene depicted is an alley-way off Ventnor Gardens, a stone-throw from the Sea. It's the same location as a number of other shots from the same series of photography. The title is a nod towards the Opeth track of the same name as well as being a mere descriptive.

Yes indeed; I'm drawn to them too. Everything about them is photogenic, either as subject matter or as a tool for reflections or light bouncing.

Yep, that's where the title comes from: I have a habit of naming my work after song titles.

I name mine by the lyrics in them or the concepts I think of.. Nice to see you like Opeth. Mikael always reffers tot his song as "the song which will bring us chicks backstage" hehehehe)

Yeah, I'm big on Opeth; more of their older work than the new material, though.

I only listened once to the new album and deleted it because I think the passage from one genre to another is too sudden and.. it's not for me.. Even though, it si very sad. I love them.. the old them..

Yeah, some of their old material is amongst my all-time favourite music.

It's so lonely.
The textures are gorgeous, and the startlingly dark blind window keeps jumping at me.
Gorgeous capture.

Love this series! Funny thing is that I just started taking photos of run down places around here and plan on doing a lot more of the sort.
I haven't been on DA in a long while to post anything new but I plan to post these newest photos very soon!

Why hallo there.
I'm glad you like it; this is old work for me but I plan to run another similar series, perhaps in the city but probably in an industrial park somewhere.

Heh; no, it's the right way up. I'm fairly sure I wasn't standing on my head when I took this, anyway.
What makes you think that it might be up-side down?

Ah, just a random remark. Besides it is mainly brickwork so the image could be upside down. Or rather, they put the window in upside down so the image could be the right way up...

Hah, I have a fair few images whose rotational orientation is ambiguous at best.

I'm drawn by the texture and clarity, mostly. but also in the way that it feels almost as though I'm sharing a captured memory - not just watching it.

If you think it's so spectacular I can show you it, but I would expect an appropriate response from you upon seeing it.
