Description Going to be working on a new mecha frame for a random idea that popped into my head that may never see completion. With this frame I'm gonna be as detailed as I possibly can, and to start that off we have that mecha's core, the Creation Engine!

The inner copper-like panels are large heat sinks, while the external blue panels are electromagnetic shielding. The shielding encasing the actual reactor is multi-layered with heat sinks, cooling channels and impact resistant materials. The blue pipe would be connected to a radiator in another part of the body, while the red pipe channels heat out from the reactor. The large pipes (One connected to the top and bottom) are used to channel the power generated by the reactor, while the smaller tan-colored pipes channel energy into auxiliary and secondary support systems.

When active the reactor gives off a bright yellow glow; when inactive the light subsides. The reactor cannot be turned off, and can only enter a low power state once the energy reaction within the reactor is triggered for the first time... is the idea.

Now the question is... how the heck am I gonna fit this in a mecha? D:

Is this like a cut section of the core, as in one half is the insides and the other is the outside?

Yeah, it's a cross section showing the inside > outside.

This would be so neat to see in an anime sequence.

Now I'm curious as to what kind of Fuel / energy reaction this thing uses, especially when you didn't mention a fuel line. The lack of input fuel and the yellow glow reminds of the IDEA Engine from BlazBlue.

I wonder what a Heat weapon would look like with this specific reactor technology?

The idea is that the engine feeds off of the energy of an artificial sub-space collision in the reactor. Or something along those lines. Still honestly a work in progress and as it stands the idea behind it is fairly soft core sci-fi in nature. There may very well be a pixie of insurmountable power trapped within. That pixie dust is strong shit.

Hahaha!

"Artificial Sub-Space Collision" Reactor definitely makes me think of the IDEA Engine, and you could compare your idea to the 'Reaction' Engines of Macross a according to the Macross Mecha Manual site it uses "super dimension spatial theory" to easily maintain a plasma state in said reactor.

Did you know the the red Valvrave as an alien fairy inside it's Engine?

That feeds off of memories, no less! Considering this is a mass production power supply though I honestly don't think that'll be the way to go,

I've never heard of the IDEA Engine as I can say I have no knowledge regarding BlazBlue. However I can see where you're getting at with the Macross Reaction Engine technology.

This honestly sounds like a reactor for something like a Mobile Armor class mech or a Battleship as it sounds fairly big

A mobile armor wouldn't be too far a stretch; the mecha I'm designing this for is going to be something akin to a large variable fighter from Macross, except it'll look less like a jet fighter and more like a bulky Vic Viper or something along those lines. Of course said mecha doesn't have a form yet, so that could totally change in the future.
