Now, about the work. This my first ever attempt at vector art. So, if you comment please keep that in mind. I bought Illustrator as part of a package with Photoshop, because if I got that bundle with a student discount it was less than just Photoshop alone... but I never really intended to use it. Well, I was browsing the vector art category on dA and realized that it is really an amazing art form, that I'm interesting in learning.

So, I thought I should do a face. But, that looked like a bit more than I could handle so I decided to just to a mouth/lips because it would be easier to tackle. Having decided that I began browsing the stock photography galleries and eventually found the beautiful lips linked to above... it really is a great picture, very emotive and... what's the word, lustful? I don't think I quite captured it, but oh well... check out splucy-stock 's gallery for more high quality stock photos of a very beautiful young woman.

It took me about three hours from start to finish but... I am happy with the result. Obviously it is amateurish and I will hopefully stick with this new form of art long enough to improve skills, but I think it's a good enough first try that I'm going to put it up here.. at least if I decide to keep learning/improving I will be able to have a record of my progress.
