...Well, I couldn't wait until Otakon to upload this... so here goes.Once again, very special thanks to for all the input and advice on these, and for actually knowing enough about all these individual series to keep me from making idiotic mistakes. XD
I'll be tweaking a few things in the background, then printing it out 11"for Otakon! I suppose I could also sell prints here over DA, but I haven't figured out the print system yet.
Um... while I have the chance to fix this, I wonder if anyone who reads / writes Japanese could tell me whether or not I've got the kanji for "Arc Zero" right? I went ahead and put my own name (or nickname, rather) in Shinigami Vision / Time for the "signature" on this, and the time and date I completed this as the measurement of "time left"... but I went on the first relevant kanji I found, the one for "arc" and for "zero" - not the actual digit 0, but the abstract concept of Zero. Is it readable? Does it make sense?
Death Note ain't mine, but this artwork is! Please don't steal it!

Death Noooooote! I love L. He looks perfect, that expression is just him. The dark tones are very fitting to the series, and I like how Light's tie is blowing.

I myself am not much into Death Note, but the kanji thing did catch my interest. I myself don't know much, but if I'm not mistaken, you should write it in katakana, since your name isn't exactly Japanese, instead it comes from the English language. Katakana is used for the foreign language ( AKA not Japanese words ), so, in romanji, it should be written "a-ru-ku zii-ro-u", but that's just me. If you find someone else that knows more, ask around

I kinda forgot about using kana for foreign names... Oops. But then again, I didn't know how to translate it phonetically. I could use the kana in there, too - thanks for that! I'm actually not sure if I should change it or not... I only did the kanji because I saw all the other names, when shown in Shinigami vision, are in kanji... I thought I'd just try to mask mine in there.
So, I guess it comes down to cultural accuracy... should I switch it to kana? I think it's neat that the name ArcZero can be broken down to kanji like that, but I'm not sure if that's the correct way to do things.

Well, seeing as you are not Japanese, I think it's best you go with katakana, since you are foreign, however, if you would like to stick with kanji, that's your decision. Just know kanji can be very hard to draw. @w@
I don' t know if there's any rule against foreigners using kanji for themselves, I'm just going off my knowledge.
Also, a quick mini lesson: kana is used for phonetic sounds, in other words "key" would be spelled with the kana "ki", since that's how it sounds. It's not based on spelling. Also, for things like "Rep", you would use the kana for "re" and "pu" in conjuction with each other, spelling "repu". Words ending without vowels ( aside from words than end with "n" ) are usually ended with the kana that has "u" at the end ( such as "su", "ru", "pu", etc ). There are exception, such at words ending with "d" ( "cloud", "sound", etc ). There exist no "du", so instead, they are ended with "do" ( "kuraudo", "syando", etc ) instead of a "du". One last thing, there is no "L" in the Japanese language, so any word consisting of "L" ( "Luigi", "lunch", etc. ) replace the "L" with "R" ( "Ruuiji", "raunchu", etc. )
That is how you get the phonetics for "ArcZero", which would be "aruku ziirou". The pronunciation would be "Ahrookoo Zeero". It may seem complicated at first, but it is actually pretty simple. Hope that helps some.

Do I need the long "i" sound for zii, like γΈγΌ? Or would γΈ suffice?

Ohh damn, I just remembered...there also exists no "zi"! "γΈ" would actually be "ji", however, there is a way to get around it! You will hvae to use "ze" and "i" together, in other words, "zei". I'm very sorry for the confusion.

Don't worry, I'm not one of those people that claws your eyes out if you fav without commenting. I considered becoming such a person and trying to make people feel guilty for not commenting and just faving everything... but then I realized how silly it was to criticize someone for making a kind gesture in the first place. Comments are just icing on the cake, and I appreciate it very much even with just a fav.

Alrighty, I shall try and comment on stuff still in the future.
I agree it is kinda silly, but it is very nice to get comments too.
So I can't argue too much since I do it allll the time. XD

Well, Death Note isn't exactly a happy-go-lucky series... The
part was ~Bootaide 's idea... something to make it jump out and get the attention of potential buyers, most of whom we predict will be people who like that sort of thing.

OOHH! OK. Hey, I'm not all against scary things I just watched "Disturbia", which is as scary as I go, besides like "constantine". I can only take any type of horror/thriller in low doses.
