Well the Ocarina of time is suppose to shift time, maybe she'll get to see her friends again.The last picture in my Mane 6 portraits, I'm going to be bring this one and all my other mane 6 pictures to Everfree Northwest to hand out. Hope to see some of you there.
The last time I did a Twilight picture was back when season 3 first started, well looking back at it I guess I have been getting better and hope to continue to do so!

I'm sorry I didn't ask a head of time; usually I would, but in this case I had kinda rushed and already had the visuals rendering. I figured it would have been alright, anyways.
I picked this out of all the other Twi pictures because one, it's sad (which is what I was going for in the song), and two, it almost completely fits the inspiration I had for the song - everything but the ocarina, but I guess that's a plus xD

Well, may I just say that the song's name "Immortal" kinda employs the feeling of transcending time, which might be associated with the Ocarina hehe

You shouldn't be hard on yourself as an artist. Your style here is actually more appealing than if your line art were sharper, which would take away from the emotion of the piece. I often see too many people try to get a more 3D, smoothed appearance, and it just looks too artificial in a lot of cases. I've seen your other pieces here, and this is by far my favorite. Your composition is balanced, your colors pop just the right amount, and most importantly, you communicate the mood perfectly, which is what we all really try to do as artists. Keep calm and pony on!

Well I tend to be that way since I'm teaching myself and usually I have no idea if I'm doing something right or not

Okay. Lemme say this to you: you're doing it right. That, my friend, is how you art. I understand being hard on yourself, but make sure to be a realist. Don't look at the artwork as one of your own. Appraise it as if it belonged to somebody else, like it's entirely new. Have a completely random person who is not a known hater look it over. Give yourself some credit, you deserve it!

I do like to have people I know look at my pictures with a critiquing eye. Most of the time I get the "wow this is really good" but I do have one friend that points out little things I should fix.
I don't know, maybe after Everfree I'll be more confident after I hear some stuff from all the other artists
