These two are both part of a currently unnamed race that I've been developing. They live on the same world as the other creatures I've come up with. I won't put all the species details here, but basically they are both mostly mute and communicate through body language and hand signs. Their glowing markings also play a huge role in how they communicate. The second pair of arms are smaller and weaker than the first, so they're used for delicate work. Signing with the second pair of hands is considered a comforting gesture. The glowing pouches along their claws secrete acid at will. The fans along their heads act like radars, both picking up on the presence of others and communicating basic information. Both are technically hermaphrodites and have both "male" and "female" reproductive organs. The race itself does not have a concept of gender but many use gendered pronouns as humans affected the culture. Nudity is as acceptable as being clothed, though it is considered inappropriate to leave the neck markings uncovered.

The one on the left:
Name: Red
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Personality: reserved, bitter, and aloof, especially to those who don't know him. He's incredibly wary and does not trust others easily. Even so, he's naive, and once you've earned his trust, it's hard to break it, even if the person doesn't deserve his trust. He wants to be around others but gets nervous around strangers. He really likes all kinds of tea, especially kinds that can be found on earth.
History: When he was younger, his name was Ander. As all young are supposed to do, he left his family at age 15 in order to travel. While on the road, he met a person called Faeryn. The two were friends for a while but once they met up with other teens, Faeryn began to show his true colors. After several years of emotional abuse, Red left the budding group and changed his name. Later, he was found and mauled by stray members of the group. Pharim found him and took him in after that, and the two are currently living together.

The one on the right:
Name: Pharim
Gender: male
Age: 25
Personality: Quiet, even for his kind. Pharim enjoys company but dislikes noise. Most of his journey was spent alone, save for a short time spent travelling the desert with a merchant called Dean, so he's pretty lonely at this point. He's kind to a fault and is always trying to find a way to help. Loves nature and predators that could eat him. Really really likes earthmade candy
History: Pharim's history isn't very eventful. He left on his journey with two others, but the group went their separate ways shortly after. He met and travelled with a merchant called Dean for about a year but then settled on a mountainside near a small forest community. He's lived there for several years now, with only minimal interaction with the community, as is stated by the laws of the youths' journey. He was almost done with his sentence when he met Red.

The two have their own story that I want to work on, but I'll also be using them as riders for Dracosrtyx. Since their encounter with Dhalia, Ren hasn't been too keen on interacting more with gryphs, and I just got ahold of a geno, so Pharim will be taking over on that end. Red will take over the nox portion of my breeding program, though I don't have a personal stryx for him yet.
