Good Evening!! 
He he heheheee!!! This is my entry on `s contest..... 
.... "Myths or Legends" is the topic for this contest 
....so, I chose the VAMPIRE!!!! 
__ Waaaaahhhhh!!!! I want to see all the other entries!!!!!! 
I am sure, this contest will be very interesting!!!! *___* ....... Yeahhh!!!! I know that my pic is not very original, but I like vampires!!! ......
Wait...... what is a vampire???
...... according to the legends, the vampire is a night creature, it leaves his coffin/grave and goes in sleeping humans' search for suck their blood. (forgive my bad english, neee?? 
) ....Aaaaaand the people bitten by vampires also become vampires!!!!!!! 
.......^__^U Some characteristics of the vampires:
+ They are not reflected in the mirrors....
+ The religious symbols and the sunlight hurt them......
+ They don't have shadows........
+ They can become bats........
+ The only way to kill them is to nail a wooden stake in their heart....
.......well, this is the information that I found! .... if I make a mistake, correct me please.

Well, in some stories not all the people they bite become vampires - only the ones they want to, if they use their venom. The daylight burns them like acid, and I thought you could also kill them by decapitating them.
Really cool picture, though! I like how he's playing with her hair. But it'd be nice to see some of those lovely fangs, don't you thing? XD

Dracula had pointy ears early on Bram Stoker's novel... Since Dracula is one of the most known vampires, I guess you can safely write/draw vampires with pointed ears

If you look really closely, you can see a tip of the fang.
And about the ears, I'd say it's to do with the whole bats thing.

but about your little vampire rant, I have a theory on that: You know Judas Iscariot from the bible? He betrayed Jesus? Well, when he had done that he tried to hang himself from an oak tree, but God refused to let him do that, so he punished him by, basically, making him allergic to everything and anything holy, and since he hung himself from an oak tree its only an oak stake that will kill them, by stabbing through the heart with it.
Also, silver is holy, sunlight is holy, holy water is, well, holy, and all of these thigns just burn him, unless you stab him with a silver dagger or knife.
