“Hurry up Zombie-Kid, you’re so slow! The treats are waiting for us!”
Oliver had grabbed Callore by the arm to make sure he didn’t lag behind the pack. He didn’t want anyone to miss out on the night’s festivities, especially when all four of them were perfect templates for Halloween outfits.
“He can’t even eat anything, Oliver. Why did you bring him along?”
Tristan meant well in asking this, feeling like the only dead one here would lack joy in the experience of Halloween trick-or-treating.
“I don’t mind at all,” Callore answered softly. “It seems to be the perfect night for me to walk around without my disguise.”
Kingston interjected with a clearly disgruntled tone.
“Yeah, cause we all blend in with the other freaks, huh? Seems pretty ‘perfect’ to me.”
