Description
The Fugitives byThe Fugitives consist of three members; Turbulence, Phade, & Siphon.
Turbulence [link]
Thomas Blackthorne has always been healthy. All through his life. It wasn't until he had a very serious fight as a teenager that he had an amazing ability to heal. To say he heals quickly would be an understatement. But this ability allowed him to do sports very easily an so it led to a full scholarship to college. Always the bit of a tinkerer, and followed a career in science and engineering. Finding work shortly after college, Thomas invented a device that was one of the first stepping stone into antimatter technology; the A.R.C. (Active/Reactive Chamber) generator. However the firm that Thomas worked for was in bed with a terrorist organization. Not wanting this technology to fall into the wrong hands Thomas stole it. The Corporation reacted by naming Thomas as a thief and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Now on the lamb, Thomas uses his abilities and devices to stop crime and clear his own name.
He has since used his creative genius to create and arsenal of weapons design to emulate the devastating effects of weather; Tornado Grenades, Lightning Strikes, Fog Generators, etc. Unknown to Thomas is one more latent ability. An immunity to Psionic powers. Telepathy and similar powers don't work around him, as if he also puts out a personal dampening field.
Height: 5'10"
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Bald (Previously Black)
Race: Caucasian
Phade [link]
Samuel Toda joined the United States Navy hoping to be a Navy S.E.A.L.. Coming from a proud Japanese family, failure was not an option. When he failed to make it through BUDS training for medical reason he was given another option. An experimental test serum was being created to create ultimate special operatives with special abilities. Sam eagerly agreed. As the first test subject he was an immediate success, grafting the powers of Invisibility and the ability to Phase through Solid Objects. He was supposed to be used in covert operations and infiltration. But when they tried to force him on an assassination mission, Sam delved deeper into the origins of this program. While funded by the military, the ultimate purpose was held under a shadow organization. Warning his intended target, Samuel went U/A trying to report what he had found to higher authorities. Labeled as a rogue agent and an assassin, his warnings fell on deaf ears. He tries to find this shadow organization... and end them.
Samuel has the ability to use his powers in conjunction, but is limited in his Phasing ability as he needs to breathe. A special mask apparatus was created to allow him to breathe while phased. Pressurized air canisters provide a feed of oxygen while phased.
Height: 5'9"
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black
Race: Asian
Siphon [link]
Cheyenne Willowbrook was in a terrible car accident as a little girl, losing all the members of her immediate family and was completely paralyzed. The only survivor she became the heiress to a Casino fortune. As a quadriplegic her uncle took over the Casino and her grandfather became her legal guardian. She now lives in a room she may never leave, a prison of complete luxury. In the only way she could she reached out... with her mind. Unable to have any experiences of her own she lived vicariously through everyone else around her. Soon she found she was able to imprint these feeling and emotion on others. As she reached out she found she could see farther and farther each time. Soon she was even able to imprint an image of herself into peoples minds so she could communicate with them. Appearing as anything she wanted to; any sex, race, etc. it allowed to to experience even more from people.
Her heroine costume actually came from the stories of her ancestors her grandfather would always tell her at her bedside. Taking those ideas and merging it with a super hero persona she becomes Siphon.
Height: 5'6"
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black
Race: Native American
The Fugitives
When Samuel Toda entered her casino on assignment she became fascinated by him. First following him in his own mind and then later helping them. When finding out about Thomas Blackthorne from another party she knew she had to bring the two men together. Unable to touch Thomas's mind due to his immunity, she can only communicate through Sam. Together the three form a bit of a rag tag hero group known as The Fugitives defending the streets of San Fransisco from everything from petty criminals all the way up to Super Villains.

Truly they're well represented here. This does have a "true" comic book feel.

Boo yeah! Love the group, love the idea behind it, love their look. I like the concept of a not-at-all famous, "street level", down and dirty, group of metahumans. Naturally, their status should lead to some interesting encounters...
"Psyche, scan the hostiles."
"Scanning... The girl's some sort of psychic ghost, and I can't get a lock on the bald one. Trying the stealth operative... What! These people are on our side. We shouldn't be fighting them!"
"Great, just great! Circe's and the Black dude are tossing lightning bolts, and I think the girl just took out Inferno. Argonauts, attention! All units fall back, defensive actions only! Want to bet the real bad guys are getting away right now?"

NewPlanComics In reply to Euel [2012-08-05 21:05:33 +0000 UTC]
I love it! And yeah I can easily see the mix up upon any encounter. You might actually enjoy this, [link] it's a story I wrote for the story line of a comic for them.
Also just so ya know Turbulence is Caucasian. I know he looks a bit dark due to the lighting in this picture, but he's a white guy.

Oops! Guess I fell into the clichΓ© of the "bald, black, leader guy". (See: [link] ) Read the story, loved it, looking forward to more. BTW, firearms haven't needed oxygen from the surrounding air since flintlocks. They use sealed metal cartridges, and can be fired in vacuum or an inert atmosphere.

That's a good point, I'll have to come up with another reason he can't fire his weapons when phased then.

For a sexy image and diversity, Siphon wins. (What tribe is she from? Cherokee, Blackfoot, Sioux, Apache, urrr, Cheyenne?). For powers and looks, I like Phade. (does the gun phase with him or does it drop when he phases?) For sheer imposing power, Turbulence! Good-looking group, man! Keep em coming!
π: 0 β©: 1
NewPlanComics In reply to EricLinquist [2012-08-05 20:56:57 +0000 UTC]
Good questions all, let me see if I can answer them.
1. Siphon is from the Salish [link] Specifically from the Washington area.
2. To fire any weapon Phade has to be solid. If phased no oxygen can get in to ignite the powder of the bullet. And around Turbulence he is only allowed to fire non lethal/riot ammunition. Turbulence has a strict no killing policy. When solo however...

EricLinquist In reply to NewPlanComics [2012-08-05 21:32:54 +0000 UTC]
Awesome feedback, man! I like the "Beliefs" section in that wiki entry. Goes well with her power parameters. Thoughtful planning on Phade's unique abilities too! Must be a challenge for Turbulence, though, to calculate just how much voltage to throw without killing an opponent he meets for the first time, since .0001 amps can kill a normal human. Maybe he senses their...um, conductivity or resistance? Cool trio you have there!!
π: 0 β©: 1
NewPlanComics In reply to EricLinquist [2012-08-05 21:42:41 +0000 UTC]
Actually the A.R.C. device has a computer and virtual interface so Turb can control the voltage and amperage being put out. And since he gets the first taste of the electricity being put out through his own body he actually feels what is being put out. It's his healing factor that allows his to even use the device like a weapon. It was supposed to be a clean energy source.

Oh yeah I forgot your a writer lol
I may have something in mind for you to write but I must know 2 things:
1. Are you a Spider-Man fan
2. How much do you charge if a customer request's a fan fiction for you to do for him/her?

NewPlanComics In reply to Glitter234 [2012-08-06 19:14:32 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I'm a Spidey fan. And I'm current up to the Civil War storyline in Marvel. Past that I haven't really been collecting. And I've never really commissioned out stories before. Eithe helped people out or maybe traded for some art work.
