Description
This needed a really good redraw and... here it is. I had another version of this, but she had some purple glasses on. I wanted to post the other one and leave in Stash this one, but.. meh. Got confused. xD

And... I think she'll look like this when she first comes and... purple actually looks good on her.
I'll add the Slugterran letters in there some day, I WILL do it.

Sarai's POV

It felt like forever for my fifteenth birthday to come, but yesterday the wait was finally over!

I can finally have my blaster and fire Saphira for the first time.
Yeah, I've seen her velocimorph, but it's not the same if I do it, right?

Blakk's still over my shoulders, but I can still manage to free myself from his grip from time to time. Plus, Eli came to see me! He gave me my blaster, orange with black and blue Defender Slipstream XVL2, the Shane star painted in blue on a side. I can't wait to begin!

Lucky for me, Twist doesn't know I'm here, he's becoming my shadow nowadays. Always telling me what to do, but he's sleeping at the Citadel, at least, that's what I remember...

"Sarai!" I heard Eli's voice call me as he ran up to me.
We were in Herringbone Cavern, the tournament started there and finished all the way to an unnamed cavern.

"Eli!" I yelled as he gave me a bear hug. I laugh as my hands wrap around him, he always worries about me being with Blakk.

He stepped away as the rest of the Gang came up. Trixie Sting, Pronto Geronimole, and Kord Zane; I like them all, Eli's right, they do feel like family. "Hi! Luck in the tournament!" They told me with a smile as I fist bumped Kord, hugged Trixie and shook hands with Pronto.

"I've been waiting for so long!" I say with a grin from ear to ear. I hadn't noticed, but I was bouncing slightly on my tiptoes.

Eli chucked and lead me to a table. "You have to sign in first." He said as he passed me a pen to write me name on.
I've always liked Slugterran writing, sometimes, Eli and I would send messages in the writing and no one ever knew what the heck it said. Or we would also write in the Shane code, but then our family would know what we were writing either way.

'Sarai E. Shane' I wrote. E means Elinor, just don't call me that, way too formal for my liking and Blakk and his goons call me that, so… I don't like it. The Gang and my closest friends call me Elia instead of Elinor…

The guy who was in charge of the inscriptions looked at me strange after he read my name. "Shane? Again?" He looked at Eli. "Two Shanes in Slugterra, sounds good." He said as wished me luck. But I don't think he's really convinced of who I am. Probably because there was always ONE Shane protecting these 99 Caverns.

"I assume you haven't slung a slug, correct?" Trixie asked me with a smile. I nod, of course she's right; Dad told us to never sling a slug until we were fifteen… "We've got some work to do." She added as the Gang led me to an empty training field to help me pass the qualifier.

"You know how this works, no?" Kord asked as he handed me some Floppers, I already have a few slugs, but more than one Flopper can come in handy. Plus, Lulu needs some company. Lulu is a Flopper I found a month ago or so.

"Well, I've seen duels, Dad explained how to sling a slug, about putting it in the canister, loading the blaster firing until your opponent gives up… yeah, I think I know." I replied as Kord loaded a slug.
"He didn't say that exactly." Eli pointed out. I shrugged. "I assume you told them exactly what Dad said, so I just say something similar." I said.

I know that my slugs are inexperienced, but I guess It's my best shot training a bit with the Gang.
I have an Infurnus, a Negashade, an albino Boon Doc, a Polero, a Threser, a Geoshard and a Tazerling; and the Floppers. None of them ever shot… or at least shot to attack.

I head a blaster charge and I barely have minute to react when Kord fires a Bubbleleon at me. "Ahh!" The slug goes under me and makes me bounce again and again on it until it returns to protoform.

"Okay, okay. I wasn't ready!" I said frowning as Kord laughed at me.

"Sorry kiddo, but you always have to be ready." He said as he fired a Jellyish at me.

I waited the last minute to dodge the slug and I fired Lulu at him. She made a cloud as smoke and then loaded Electro (my Tazerling), I sorta waited for the smoke to clear out to make my shot but I'm guessing it was a bad idea 'cause Kord fired his own, which is obviously much more stronger than mine; then a Rammstone.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Eli's eyes widen, I'm guessing it was because of the slug.
I tried to dodge it, but it hit me in the stomach. Ow…
As I fall into dirt, the slug lands on the place it hit me. I hold me head, shake it to clear the dizziness away and I see Kord in front of me.
"You know, it would be easier if you stand sideways, it's harder for the opponent to land a hit on you." Said Trixie as the cave troll helped me up.

"Kay, you should've told me before…" I muttered. The Gang chuckled a bit.

"You okay?" Eli asked. I just nod as I take a deep breath.
"Perfect. Let's do that again!"

This time, I'm the first one to fire a slug. Twin (my Polero) wraps around Kord's arm. Okay, that didn't work.
"Nice try. But try to aim at the legs or chest." Kord said as he fired a Phosphoro.
"Ahh!"
Startled, I close my eyes and cover my face. When I opened them, I could barely see anything.
I loaded a slug, heard Kord's blaster and I fired Shadow at him, who covered the cave troll in black smoke.
I heard him chuckle and congratulate me, but I managed to hide from him and all the Gang.
"Where's she go?" Pronto asked as I saw them look around.

"Right here." I say as I point at his back with the blaster, Light (my Albino Boon Doc,) was loaded inside.
Kord just laughed, then with a quick movement wiped my blaster out of my hands, he pointed his towards me.
"You were closer this time, Shane." Eli said as he came and punched me lightly on the arm.
I nod. "I guess so." I look at Kord. "Thanks for the spar." He nods.

"Remember, if you lose any duel, even the qualifier, you could lose a slug." They all said in warning.
"I'm ready." I guess…

"Up next, Sarai Shane vs… Shockwire!!!" Said the announcer as I walked nervously at the entrance of the arena. The crowd was looking at me in awe or something, but they cheered at both of us.
I've seen Shockwire a few times in the citadel, he has mostly Tazerlings, most of them are normal slug, three of them are Ghouls...
I've seen Ghouls and dealt with them sometimes; they're creepy, ruthless and aggressive… they are simply Ghouls.
I never talked with Shockwire, just seen him and made sure he never saw me. Let's see how his duel goes.
"Duel!!"
I quickly grabbed my blaster, feeling better when it's in my hand. I loaded Lulu, fired her and then another Flopper.
Of course, they didn't do anything to Shockwire, he was just grinning at me.
"Floppers don't do any damage, kid." He said as he fired a Tazerling and I managed to dodge it quiet easily.
He fired again and I jumped behind a rock. It was soon destroyed though, but I was ready; Twin was in my blaster and I fired him at Shockwire.

"Fire me! Fire me!" Saphira chirped in my ear. I can understand slugs perfectly, I've had at least one with me most of my lifetime.
"Not yet Saphi, the best for the last."

Twin does tie Shockwire up, but quickly returns to protoform.
"Nice try, but it looks like your slug's new to this." He said grinning.

"Of course he's new to this…" I mumble as I jump down, closer to the lava pit. I hear the Tazerling crash just in front of me, leaving an electrified kind of force field that quickly disappeared. "Wow…" I say, amazed by the slug's powers.

"I'm getting bored of this." Shockwire hissed as he jumped down to where I was and aimed a Ghoul at me. I leap towards those rocks that were sticking out in the lava, and jump onto another until I reached the other side. He fired three consecutive times, each getting closer to me. Well, one did shock me a bit, almost fell into the lava.
"Ahh!!" Then, as he loads one of his Amperlongs, I fired Saphira at him. "Come on Saphira! Let's finish this!"

She fires small fireballs and circles around him in a wall of flames as I get closer.

"Arg!! I surrender!" Shockwire shouted. "Why did I enter this tournament again only to be defeated in a similar way?" I heard him mumble. A whistled and Saphira stopped, she stayed in the air for a while before returning to my shoulder.

"That was an Infurnus slug…" a few people in the crowd whispered. "That was awesome!!" A few kids said. "I thought Eli was the only one with such slug!" There were many whispers about me and him, but they looked surprised as I offered my hand to Shockwire. He took it and stood up as the anouncer yelled, "Sarai Shane is the winner!!"

There was a moment of silence before the crowd erupted in cheers and applause.
I walked towards the Gang and they looked so happy.

"Pay up Shockwire." Added the Announcer as the blonde came up to me, holding out some of his slug tubes.

Kord came to my side, "He's got good ones, choose or will you let the slugs choose you?" He whispered as he eyed Eli; I'm guessing my brother did what I'm about to do. Dad taught us well.
"Hey guys, which of you want to join my team. I'm a Shane you know, and I could use some help in the future from you little guys. Plus, I think Electro needs some company of his specie, what do you say?" I ask them as I hold Electro up to my chest for them to see.

The Tazerlings looked at each other and then at Electro, one of them hopped out of the tube and into my other hand. It chirped a hello to me and smiled.

"Thanks for joining the team little guy." I say, the slug chirps, "oh, little girl. Sorry. He's Electro, that's Twin, Shadow, Light, Geo, Lulu and Razor." I introduce my slugs.

As my new Tazerling greets everyone, I return Electro to his slug tube and Saphira hops to my other hand. "She is Saphira." I say as both shake hands, but the Tazerling hugs Saphira tightly and electrocutes her slightly.

I giggle and hold the Tazerling up. "How would you like the name… Electra?" I ask. She does a backflip and claps.

Shockwire looks at me. "I must admit, you do have better slugs than your brother did when he duelled against me months ago. I was just taking it easy on you." He hissed, I think he congratulated me? I dunno. Then, he left.

"For a moment there, Pronto thought you were going to lose." Pronto said with a smile.
I laugh, "Sorry to burst your bubble mole face." I say.
The guy who was there when I signed in walks towards me. "Well, well… good job, Shane." He said with a grin. "But shall the people love like they love your brother? We'll see. Next round is in Rock Lock Cavern." He said before leaving.

"Can you guys help me there?" I ask the Gang.
"Sure we can." Eli replied with a grin.

As we mounted the mecha beasts, I kept on staring at Lucky and at Trixie's mecha. They are just precious! Wonder when I have my own mecha beast... I wish I can have one like Eli's, it's so cool.

Rock Lock Cavern comes into view and before Eli stopped Lucky, I jumped off. "Wahoo!"
"Sarai!!" The Gang yelled worriedly.
I laugh and say, "Tada!" i throw my hands in the air and twist my hips slightly.

"Stop that that." Eli said as he ran up to me, frowning.
"Hey, it's just about having fun. Anyways, what's up next?" I asked, Eli shook his head slightly, probably a little annoyed at me, meh.

Pronto comes up to me. "It could be a normal duel, a team up duel or a mecha duel. It could be anything!" He said.
As I was about to ask about the matches, I over hear the announcers. I shush the Gang and we listen.
"I cannot do a Mecha Duel! I don't even have a mecha beast!" I said, desperate. I shook Eli's shoulders just to add drama into the picture.

"Ok, ok. Calm down … you can use one of our mechas. Mine or Eli's." Trixie said as she put a hand on my shoulder. I grin sheepishly at her and look at both the mechas. Oh… which to choose?

"Next round… Mecha Duels in five minutes."
