That is amazing. There's a whole story in this painting and I wish there was a book made from this painting...maybe anothe "where the wild....". The little girl's face says it all. Wow I can sit here and type more stuff about this but that'd take away from the time I spend gazing at it.

A quick water color?! QUICK?! This just isn't fair, I could take ten days to do a water color and it wouldn't come out close to looking as awesome as this, grats on the Daily Dev, you are more than deserving... great work!

It's so cute.
I can definitely see the influence from "Where the Wild Things Are", and I think you did a great job of capturing the spirit of it. I'm easily impressed by wonderful shading, so I might be kind of biased, but I think you did a great job of blending the colors for the tree background, and for the sharp foreground. I could never get the hang of watercolor, so this is doubly impressive to me. Great job.

omg this is absolutely beautiful!
the water color work is so detailed and extremely professional. Gosh staring at it i can just see all the soft layers you did to build up the colors. Im totally blown away by your watercolor work. Plus, the imagery and your composition is very very good. I love the vibrant colors as well as the lighting. heh, and the ogre concept is extremely halarious. Reminds me something out of a miyazaki movie (think totoro). Anyway, this piece is inspiring me to go do a few water colors right now actually.
gj, i cant wait to see more.

You did another beautiful job with the colors here....and managed to paint an amusing little story. The little girl here in the picture just may be the real ogre and the ogre is the gentle timid little one. An amusing dicotomy.

That's rather hysterical.
The way I interpret it, the little girl stumbled upon this fantasy world and (being a horrible brat) insisted that the oger teach her how to be an ogre, now darnit! The look on the ogre's face is priceless.
+Fav, of course.
(Ever thought of illustrating children's books? )

Very very nice work.
It's fine as it is, but if you would like to make another variation of this, make the Ogre more surprized/scared of the girl screaming.
