Right, but Gawker is basically dead and no one gets "Full McIntosh" anymore. GamerGate did its job by discrediting and badly weakening games "journalism" in favor of reviews by the actual players and by more or less halting the advance of SJW crap into US-made video games.

We'll be past the SJW crap sooner or later. It won't fade all at once, these things never do. It's lifting in the world of video games, it's lifting in film, although Disney will likely be the last to get over the SJW nonsense as it can subsidize its money-losing movies with the hits and its theme park revenue. The rest of Hollywood doesn't have that kind of money, not even Universal with its much less profitable theme parks. We saw all sorts of movies get woke and go broke in 2019 (Terminator: Dark Fate, Charlie's Angels, Dark Phoenix, MIB: International to a large extent, etc), while Sonic showed that directors and studios who listen to the fans will make money. And not one of those fans had an issue with the interracial marriage between that movie's white deuteragonist and a black woman.

And Viacom...Β Okay Viacom is very liberal but they're also getting bullied off the air by News-Corp so take that as you will.

PBS is publicly-owned (Federal Government) and is very left wing. Public BS is what I call it.
News Corp owns Fox and is very right-wing.
CBS is owned either by itself or Viacom. Still very left-wing.
Disney is mostly conservative, but ABC (which Disney owns) still runs itself and is very left-wing.
MSNBC (includes NBC and CNBC) is super-left wing and is owned by Comcast.
TimeWarner is very liberal and owns the left-wing CNN.
That should cover it, I think.

CBS is owned by itself, they seem rather neutral but various studies have shown they tend to talk about the liberal side of stuff more.Β For good or bad, it's just the side they cover (as in, good or bad, they'll cover whatever happens to democrats); Comcast is very right wing, my statement again was that the left wing media is only as left wing as its right-wing owners will allow.Β There is a reason the "liberal" channels will keep talking about "privilege" and "liberal arts".Β But when it comes to presidential races you won't see hind or head of Bernie Sanders (outside of Viacom joke-news)
I'm not saying this excuses the idiotic behavior on TV (which I stopped watching quite awhile ago); it just demonstrates a point about why we're more likely to hear about people checking their privilege on twitter than we are to hear about [insert oil spill here] or [insert anything about the TPP here].
Also I'll be honest about CNN, they're "registered" independent (centrist in this context) but I personally think they're just attention whoring.Β They lost viewers to Faux and MSNBS so they started doing EVERYTHING they could think of to try and attract viewers, because any publicity is good publicity right?
"LOOK WE HIRED A FEMINIST ATHEIST!" (who knows nothing about either)
"LOOK WE HAVE DETAILS ON THAT FLIGHT EVERYONE IS ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT!" (by hiring a "professional psychic")
"LOOK WE'RE STILL LEGITIMATE NEWS!" (except we're really not and are challenging Fox for 'least accurate' as of 2015)
That's just my outlook though.
Though one last thing I'll note that I found very weird.
CMT and Comedy Central.
Both Viacom (liberal) owned.
YET- they censored the exact same movie, in much different ways (I bet to appeal to audiences)
CMT: "Hey Terrorist, Eff you!"
CC: "Hey Terrorist, F*** YOU!"

Yeah, pretty ridiculous. Thing is, they can make ANYTHING a dog whistle so that it's offensive and you'd never know it until they say something like, "Check your privilege." Β And you look at them with a quizzical look not knowing what they're talking about and that just solidifies their opinion of you more and they say, "See? You are so wrapped up in your privilege you don't even know that what you just said is racist/sexist/etc."
