AAAAAAAAAAAAAAW SAMANDRIEL. I can't decided whether to jump in glee for this amazing painting or to cry because POOR SAMANDRIEL. (Yeah, I loved him the minute he showed up on screen. Of course 30mins later for 2 episodes he's tortured and then killed. DAMNIT CARVER, WHY????? *weeps*)

He was just too immediately likeable, so of course he was going to die. I knew he wasn't going to last (all the characters that I like die; I'm honestly surprised that Castiel, aka my favourite character, hasn't permanently died yet, although all the psychological misery/torture he gets dragged through is bad enough...) but I was hoping we'd have more time with him sans horrible torture. And then of course he had to die like THAT, making me weep for both him AND Castiel (see above: psychological misery).

5x04 was so depressing, and 5x04 Castiel especially makes me cry so much. And then when 8x23 ended like that, my first thought was "Season 9 is going to be Castiel spiraling downwards into depression...OH DEAR GODS 5X04 IS GOING TO HAPPEN" D8
I think it's going to actually give me a heart attack...
I don't think Dean and Sam will end up like that, though; They've grown together too much, for Dean especially to digress into that kind of character. All I can do is hope that Dean remembers that trip and will act on any warning bells to prevent Castiel from getting that point...

Personally I loved Samandriel even though he got like two episode of screen time. And when he died he did not even get the burnt wings. I was upset but this is perfect for him because he was such a brave, fearless, awesome angel. Samandriel was good. Super amazing and the wings are perfect!
