My all time favorite bat species, the mighty Spectral Bat! Reaching a wingspan of over 100 centimeters, it is the largest carnivorous bat in the world. Besides being able to snatch birds out of the air, males are known to wrap its mate and her young in his wings while they sleep. Is that not an adorable image? Plus, the awesome villain Goth from the Silverwing series is a spectral bat. So..... I kinda had to do this.Related content

Omfg this is so adorable and evil looking at the same time. I always thought fox bats were the largest, but then again I'm no bat expert. Overall this is a very nice sketch.

Thanks for the nice comments! I don't think spectrals are the largest ever, but they are the largest carnivorous bats.
