The star Proxima Centauri is our closest neighboring star.It is just over 4 light years away from us.
Proxima Centauri belongs to the triple star system Alpha Centauri.
Proxima Centauri belongs to the class of red dwarfs.
At least two planets have been detected, and regularly recurring radio emission has been received from the innermost planet.
The best explanation so far is, Proxima Centauri b has a moon.
