Okay, for those of you have liked this or added it to your favourites about half a month ago, I'm sorry that I've had to delete it and cause you such confusion. As the title suggests, I originally made this for the Sonic CD Fan Art Contest that SEGA just finished. As soon as I got it scanned and submitted, I uploaded it onto here shortly after. And THAT my friends, was "NO GOOD." Turns out, one of the rules that I somehow managed to overlook states that posting the entry on any other social networking site before judging was over could get me disqualified from the contest. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until a fellow deviant informed me of this on one of the original comments on this piece, and that was about a day or two after I posted it, and even then I took perhaps a bit too long to do something about it. Not wanting to take any more chances, I removed my submission, hoping whoever was in charge of the contest hadn't noticed yet (but fat chance of THAT happening).

Unfortunately, I may have already been too late, since I haven't been contacted at all, so I may have already been disqualified. Either that, or they might not have thought that my art was good enough, but for the sake of my self-esteem as an artist, I'm going to assume that it's the first guess. Either way, I saw all of the winning entries on SEGA's Photobucket and mine wasn't among them at all, so long-story-short, I didn't win a free download for Sonic CD, let alone a signed copy of the soundtrack.

Still, I figured it wasn't a TOTAL loss...even if it WAS a big-fat-stupid-mistake-OHMYGODI'MSUCHANIDIOT---sorry, lost my cool there for a second. In any case, since the contest is no longer running, I figured it was safe to re-post this. I just hope that those of you who favourited it before will be willing to do so again, just remember to comment first ^^!

Okay, basic details: it's primarily based off of both the original race and the boss in Generations in Stardust Speedway, the title is based off of one of the lyrics to "Sonic Boom", and features Sonic (Classic to be precise), Metal Sonic (technically Classic), and Amy (you guessed it, Classic). Although it took a long time to do (well, five days at most), it was well worth it, as it really got me interested in coloring in my pages again, seeing as how all I had to do was color them so damn hard that the colors wouldn't be loose enough to smear off.

In any case, I feel proud of this drawing, and although it didn't win me anything (game, music, or pride), it did inspire me to try my best and to incorporate that style into many of my already existing drawings. With that said, I hope you guys like this and that those of you who miss it will be able to rediscover it again. Merry Christmas!! ^^,
