LOL!  I guess the girl in the picture does look way too young for him.  They weren't together or anything.  If I remember correctly, she was at least 20.  And Amani. In Zul'Gurub.  LOL.  Which, according to my silly guild,  was apparently owned by them. *cringe* I was a total noob and didn't know any better.  The game devs opened up the area of Zul'Gurub as non-instanced space with no mobs during the Cataclysm and the guild I unfortunately stumbled upon was the only big troll only RP guild on the server, so they usually had no other players there to tell them that they couldn't 'own' huge swathes of in-game real estate.  The god-moding that happened when other players DID dare to tresspass was laughable.  Bad RP was BAD. Rahz didn't belong there at all...but since Zul'gurub was the only place any troll RP seemed to be happening (so I thought) that's where he ended up.

After getting away from that guild, he moved to Northrend.  I see him renting an apartment in the underbelly of Dalaran.  It's a cramped hole in the wall.  But he doesn't care because he is in a city full of smart people and BOOKS.  He loves to study and read.

Ah...a perennial bachelor satisfied to have his unlimited free time, I take it? At least he's managed to move in and find his place in the world even if your ex guild didn't do much to facilitate that.

Amani...in ZG? Riiiight...and my belf pally was born in Orgrimmar because for the Horde. Makes perfect sense, lol.

Are people like us old? Gosh I don't feel that way but a lot of the wacky RP makes me wonder.

yeah I done told ya....BAD RP WAS BAAAAAAD.  I can't believe that horrible guild was my intro to role playing.  Dis girlie didn't know no bettah, mon!

It was all before I bothered to really research the lore.  That was my great mistake.  I just jumped in...it all seemed so far fetched but I figured those people had far more experience than me so who was I to question the fact that Amani trolls had squatter's rights in ZUL'GURUB, stronghold of the Gurubashi trolls, a tribe who would have sooner eaten their green skinned cousins than welcomed them into their sacred capital? I cringe looking back on it...but also LAUGH at the absurdity of it.

I just loved RPing my crusty old priest.  I even transferred him from the PVE server my husband was on to an RP server (hubby wasn't interested in RP) just so I could satisfy my desire to RP. I just wish I had been more selective about choosing a guild and stayed away from the racist ones >.< Imagine having a TROLL ONLY guild full of god-moding people with a thirst for blood and sacrifice.  Talk about weird.  Rahz would have been much happier joining with a group of nerdy elves or undead who were perpetual students and loved books.  Oh well!  That's something I can explore in a story!  I just retconned everything I did with that guild.  It isn't worth remembering on paper or in a story.

Seriously, do retcon all of it. Many of us have done that before and you should never feel entrapped by other people's prompts, even from the well meaning like myself.

You could always start with little oneshots featuring him as well...just small things maybe of him haggling for a good set of shelves for his hole in the wall in Dalaran or whatever, and he remembers being the high priest (which was a troll only unit in W3 btw, just like shadow priest) in a time where the tribe didn't have books and stuff. That can go concurrently with your other threads as well.

But either way, don't let past bad RP control you. Retcon bad RP away!
