Description
So i've been thinking up a new and improved "battle form" for my universal OC Cain though I haven't had much luck with it so far as 1. I don't have the enthusiasm to draw like I used to and 2. I don't feel my skill level is at a point that I'm able to produce art in the way I need to.So until I am able to draw the actual form (or atleast do some concept sketches/doodles) I figured I would just put together a collage of many different designs that would be used to inspire the concept I have in my head. I DO NOT own ANY of the images. For information on each and links to those that I found here on dA see below:
Sebastian from Black Butler: I planned on giving Cain's battle form boots similar to those of Sebastian's "true" form.
Drake from Blade Trinity: Drake's demon form would heavily inspire Cain's form, mostly the spikes protruding from his shoulders.
Eddie Brock/Venom from Spiderman 3: I imagined that as Cain is a shapeshifter his form could change in appearance and would kind of look like a black liquid/tendrils before solidifying into form fitting armor, similar to the venom symbiote.
Ryuk from Death Note: Cain's battle form would look very similar to form fitting, black leather somewhat like that of Ryuk's.
Alex Mercer: The one image belongs to and can be found here Cain's armor would be alot like that of Alex's. Infact when Cain sprouts demonic wings and flies they give off red that looks alot like the red biomass Alex gives off when he glides/attacks/whatever.
Daedric armor from Skyrim: Mostly because it looks similar to Drake from Blade Trinity, but also because of the red glow it gives off would be similar to that of Cain's form.
Dante's Devil Trigger from Devil May Cry 2: My all time favorite Devil Trigger from the series will heavily inspire the form. I've been wanting to incorporate the look/style into Cain's form for years but to this day I haven't been able to do it in a way that i'm satisfied with
Illyria from Angel: The form fitting armor. Basically if it were black, had spiked shoulders and glowing red sections like Dante's Devil Trigger/Daedric armor it would be almost perfect.. oh, it would also have to be less feminine, but not by much as Cain has a slender figure.
Beelzemon, Devimon and Neodevimon: Black, form fitting leather. I've always liked the darker, evil digimon.
Ichigo's Fullbringer form: Not his EXACT form, but the full black version done by found here is very appealing.
Alucard from Hellsing: Alucard's one of my all time favorite characters and I love his design, especially his released form.
Kain and Raziel from the Legacy of Kain series: Cain's very vampiric and has a pale complexion similar to Kain's from Blood Omen 2.
The Crow: Once again, black leather. Its a very dark form.
So basically I'm trying to find a way to combine all or most of these elements (and more) into ONE form.. its not going to be easy, if it was I would already have it done and I wouldnt bother posting this xD
Wish me luck?

I feel like he also has kenpaphci because I think Cain is holding back his full power even when he's in his normal formΒ

i wish you luck, man. and i wish your enthusiasm comes back too.
i know it sucks not being able to draw exactly what you want, but the only way to actually do that, is by practicing, practicing a lot. if you dont feel ok with the results, just do it again, and again, until it pleases you. i know its boring, but there's no other way...
i was completely blocked a month ago, i couldnt draw anything, so i started playing a few games that i had unfinished, and within a week i gathered determination, and i woken up the next day wanting to draw something, so i tried, it took about 5 hours, but it came out the way i wanted. maybe you could try that? if you havent already
anyways... i DO trust in your skills dude, just try, and put heart on it, and it will look amazing
again... luck, and most importantly, have fun

personally, i think you should add some elements from the new Diablo design as well.

Spikes, black leather, dark tentacles, more spikes, blades, and ripped wings. All of them are common in evil/dark characters, but they always looks good.
But combining everything in one picture...maybe you are being too ambitious. But the shapeshifting idea is good. With it, its not necessary to have all those elements at once, specially the ones that are not clothes.
Good luck

luck? you ARE luck. someone wishing you luck with drawing is like asking Chuck Norris if he needs a hand with a fight..... he already has three. you are an amazing artist who uses some awsome stuff to inspire his artwork. like i said you dont need luck cause you are luck. your artistic god in a human form. all you need is a good piece of inspiration for your work to shine! *takes a deep breath* end rant
as for the idea i think its great and would love to see something that combines these things together.

well, with all those forms, you're sure to come up with something eventually
something similar i once did, (trying to create my own version of a chimeramon) i put many digimon pics in paint, cut of several parts, put those together and created something new
so you, who can create much better art than i can, can definately make something awesome with your own style
anyway, good luck with the new design, lots of it
