Description So Shiroux9254 asked me to make a tutorial for the royal crown from this picture .

Please enlarge for the full view!

This is my very first tutorial, and I am not sure if I am able to explain it good enough...

The head thumbnails below each picture show the placement of D&D pieces either in front of all or behind the hair

Anyway, here are notes about the steps:

1. For the pillow, take two hair pieces in the closest colour and place them as shown
2. Use blurred circles in different transparency to add some shading and lightening [you can skip this step if you want]
3. For the stand, place the D&D pieces as shown, behind the pillow
4. Add some more details to the stand using the crystal drops and beads in matching colour

The stand with pillow is now ready, you can put on it anything you want. I chose a royal crown

5. Take two diadem D&D (each slightly tilted from its default position) and place them as shown, on the pillow
6. Take three globe pieces, turn them as shown (one straightly and two slightly tilted) and place 'behind hair'
7. Take four wavy D&D and place them as shown (you can turn/tilt them more), also in 'behind hair' mode
8. Using the shown D&D pieces, make the topping and bead base of the crown
9. Add some gems to adorn your crown

                       And it is ready!

As a bonus I also made a crown based on the male section of drag&drops, a quickie of literally five minutes

Please remember that it is not the final truth but merely one of the numerous ways to make it. You should experiment with your own ideas, let your creativity flow!

But please tag me if you will ever use this tutorial, I would like to see your wonderful creations!

And please let me know if you need tutorials any other things in my in-game pictures.

I'm amazed every time you come up with something like this with the game. You are one fine example of thinking outside the box. I'm certain that Azalea never intended for the D&D's to be used so creatively... yet you have new ideas all the time! Not just anybody would have come up with all sorts of dresses and even crown tutorials that you make!

Has anyone ever told you that you are a genius when it comes to designs?
(Thank you for the tutorial!)

You are always welcome .

And no, nobody has told me that, and I hope nobody would, because it is not true. There is a huge amount of people incomparably much more talented, on Doll Divine's site for example, people who, unlike me, do really know how to draw .

I just do what I can, that is all .

I can understand why you would be hesitant on getting such a compliment, but what you do is still art! At least it is in my eyes.
Sure, it isn't something like being able to paint or draw, but what you do is make these dolls tell stories for you in how you dress them up and design them. You must have an eye for color and design in order to pull off the creations you make. The way you were able to come up with this crown design is amazing to me - being able to see all the little parts as they are yet able to figure out how they can come together is a talent.

You are just too kind .

They say I have an eye for colours, I enjoy designing and drawing patterns, but I do not overestimate any of that.

And is it you who says something about intricacy of my pictures?!
You do know how to draw, you make amazing pieces in all dress-up games as well. What I do, should look too simple for you!
