About the all of one kind thing... There's 3 enterprise-c types (ambassador class...?), 2 excelsior class, one nebula class, and off to the port of the leftmost excelsior off in the distance is an equinox type. And that station was originally built by cardassians, so it doesnt necessarily have to be DS9.

by the way, why would starfleet attack it's own deep space ship? or is it taken over by the enemy? I would of thought Cisco would want it in tact like his bloody baseball.

I seem to agree with cubicthree. And you do actuall see different class ships on Startrek, and other shows such as Babylon5..
Theres always some bigger ship then the others, "The General" Some Dreadnaught name to it, smaller ships that fire guns, medium ships that shoot more and heavly attack it's enemy.. The slow one is the battle fortress which has everything to super bombs and heavy faster weapons. Where are the Interceptors??
You need Interceptors, Bombers, Fighters man! what is a fleet without a freaking interceptor?? oh god, you can't fight wars without intercepting some freaking enemy crafts now! And whatabout the decoys? the mothership??? I can\t use this man! It's like sending soldiers with AK47's against tanks man! What Am I? a World War II Polish Soldier on a horse running towards a German Tank with a sword?? I need some interceptors! not a cavalry cloned army that onlt shoots the same weapons so the enemy can trace the frequency and adapt like the borg do! Ahhhhhhh..

atleast put some 200 interceptor fighters
50 Battle fortresses
100 medium cluster busters
1,000 Troops
I my legend 1 interceptor or troop is = 1000.
So do yourself a favour and mix it together.

actually, it would make less sense if they were all different... how many fleets are made up of ships of different classes? you usually dont see a single cruiser, a single battle ship, a single destroyer and a single aircraft carrier

Also, it's better not to clone the same ship over and over again.
