Description
Who says you can't be creative inside of an established universe, eh?The game pieces are all modified versions of ships I've done over the past few months, only with stands and a silver surface. Render time was about 12 hours (!) due to a bit of a problem with the reflections (the only way I could figure out to fix it was to render at 2x my target resolution!)
All game textures done in Photoshop, render in Lightwave, just a tiny bit of post processing in Photoshop.

The facings of the D7s are doing me a heckin' concern, unless this is one of those weirdo games that allows one to face towards the corner of a hex.

Close, except you have two Centaur-class vessels in support. I doubt they'll last long, but I'd expect them to make a good screen so that two Klingon warbirds could be screened by the Centaurs while the Ambassador-class tries to focus on one. This is just a damned tough scenario, but not unwinnable.

oh, thanks for the clarification.
The kobayashi maru scenario wasn't unwinnable either

Kobayashsi Maru was always meant to be unwinnable. So, no idea what you're referring to otherwise >_<

oh please, you cant be a true star trek fan without knowing that Kirk beat the Kobayashsi Maru >_<
He made a bit of changes, but he still won. Same scenario, same ships, same everything else

I saw Wrath of Kahn too, and the idea was that he edited the program or simply "cheated". He then while stranded planetside waiting for Enterprise to rescue him confessed that until that moment he had never truly confronted a no-win scenario.
I imagine . . . I know what I'm talking about.

Very nice idea, and pulled off well. I've seen a number of ships rendered as models, but never with a particular theme like this. Looks great.

Beautiful piece of rendering. Top notch.
I have one minor problem to point out. your die numbers are wrong on the left hand die.
Opposite sides of a six sided die should always equal seven.
Sorry for being anal. Great job though. Doing the Trek universe proud.
