This waz a request froms , for use as a cover for one of his screenplays. I need to practice skies and non-pony animalz some more, so I figured why not? Normally, I'd be too lazy to do anything but jittery linework and sloppy cel-shading for a free request.

I did decide to make it a speedpainting practice, though, as I'm still really trying to improve my speed. But I went way over time. After 1 hour, all I had done was the background and about 85% of Derpy other than her mane and tail, which were still just flat color. And no cat! I forgot it right from the start, oops. So it ended up taking 2 hours instead, plus some extra time working on and off, to touch up some mistakes. Still faster than usual, at least.

What I really need to do faster is my linework. Only reason I was able to do this so fast is because I had an old, unused, mostly-done sketch to start with. That shaved off at least an hour. I sketch sooo sloooowwwww.

Random self-criticism on this one: edge-highlighting is so lazy and always looks wrong, but it fools like 99% of people. I try to avoid doing it, but this was intended as a speedpaint, so that's what you get.
