haha I could tell by the pose more than anything XD That is cool. I can't draw someone and pretend they are characters in my stories. So I write my stories more like FanFics and really use Asagi in the story XD

The thing is that I'm beginning to draw realistic-style. So I'm using a picture to help me get everything right because normally... I draw anime style and the proportions are no good. So I'm basically painting the main shapes over the picture and after that I'm doing the face, using the model as a reference but modifying the features. On that drawing for example I can assure you this is not Ruiza's eyes, lips and nose because he din't even paint them at the exact same spot with the sama shape. Everything was changed. And even if it looks like it, the hair was drawn by me and I dint use Ruiza's hair dor it. I used the pose a reference too but the skin and clothes, they're all mine.
It's just easier to start like that. Soon it'll be just one year since I started painting like that with photoshop. I enjoy it

I used to do all my photoshop paintings that way, draw over the photo for references. I stopped doing PS because I had more hateful comments than good ones. I went back to pencil and I noticed that I had really learned a lot about faces from the ones I did in PS. I started painting again too. They aren't great but they are a lot better than what I used to do. Did you see my Asagi painting? I picked an easy picture because I paint in oils and I wanted to paint in acyrillics because it dries much faster. It took me 3 months to do the painting of Eicca and I almost lost interest and didn't finish it.

I don't really likes realistic with pencils. Like I said as for traditionnal medias, I prefer anime art. I mix medias too, using paint, copics, watercolor pencils and more. I'm working hard on my anmime artworks and digital stuff. I have watchers for both categories and some of my watchers just enjoy looking at both. I'm also doing photography and BJD photography and I started a few days ago at working on background only pieces, to help me to introduce BG in my drawings. I did a lot of pixelart in the past too.
As for paintings, I don't really have skills. This is why I admire poeple like you who have.
I know what you mean about loosing interest. I do the same. When I wait too much to color a lineart for exemple, I start hating my drawing and I can only see my own flaws...
