Ky! %) Old work, 2007Work is created on motives of film Kin-dza-dza of director George Danelia
It is film it is created in 1986, in it there were no special effects, but the concept of an environment very interesting, I have decided to make a remake.
The big flying ship my innovation, the concept of the small ships similar to saucepans, it is taken from film, their name "Pepelace"

Красивая картина. А корабль пластинами снизу напомнил имперский флагман из Panzer Dragoon Orta, из эпизода "Гигантский Флот".

По-моему этот большой корабль совершенно не вписывается в общий дух фильма, ему недостаёт некоторой брутальности и топорности. Он выглядит слишком изящно для того мира, в котором происходит действие фильма. Также следует отметить, что пепелацы были не с пропеллерами, как это показано здесь. Но всё же я добавлю этот арт к себе в фавориты, мысленно откинув восприятие его как на тему фильма.

I have never once written a comment on this site. Not being an artist... I just come to look and appreciate other people's stuff. For this picture i shall have to make an exception. Not only have you made a picture of one of my favorite films of all time, you've managed to capture the feel of the movie as well as add your own touch to the Kin-dza-dza universe. Thank you for this, means a lot to me. One of the greatest if not the greatest film of all time. I feel fortunate to be one of the few English speaking Americans to have seen this gem.

I really like the design of the big ship. It's a very different look from most other airship designs.

I like the details for each scrap metal that was used for the ships, and the explosion on the side. Just seems like that moment when the side of a massive airship explodes, and the airship wavers over to one side with a stream of smoke.
