Sort of. Β Generally if the manga series is finished, then the anime will stay pretty close to the manga's plot. Β There are a lot that don't though, and some that kind of ignore the manga's plot entirely. Β Haha. Β

No, not all anime is exactly the same as the manga. There's quite a handful of animes that deviate away from the manga, i.e. Bo-BoBo, Black Cat and Gin Tama. Rosario + Vampire deviates a lot from the original story line- it's shorter, filled with fanservice and filler and several original episodes. The manga is much longer, darker and more interesting.
