The PrinceIt was a scary idea to me to attempt to make a character from one of my favorite shows of all time, Dragonball Z. Not to mention, I would be doing my own rendition of a character that was created by Akira Toriyama, my favorite artist of all time. The lats thing I would want to do is destroy one of his amazing designs. I hope that this rendering embodies all that Vegeta is...
I hope my rendition in 3D reflects his notorious arrogant pride and short lived brash attitude. His evil tempered heart, molten and smoking with rage.
Programs used:
ZBrush (Sculpting and rendering with BPR.)
3dsMax (Blocking out geometry.)
Photoshop (Comping render passes from ZBrush, and making final adjustments.)
Topogun (Recreating head geometry for sculpting.)
Roadkill (For unwrapping geometry.)

I love how the eventual render style has it looking like it's painted. Vegeta maybe looks a little too old and eyebrow less for my taste, but this is very well done.

Yea totally, thanks for commenting! I did try eye brows, but it looked forced and wierd on this model...It was very difficult trying to keep the dbz look while adding my own look...I think I may o more in the future to see if I can nail it better on another character.

You know this model especially caught my eye, because a friend of mine did a strikingly similar looking one a couple of months ago on which I tried to elaborate the Vegeta expression further with some photoshop edits.

Thank you! Yea, I think Vegeta is one of those characters that everyone can relate with from time to time...honestly, I just bought the Kai series and its so good! It reminded me how BA Vegeta was back in the day

Haha, yea, Kai is awesome. It may be a bit cliche, but I would have to say Goku. But otherwise, I would have to say kid buu, gohan, trunks...hmm, theyre all so awesome to be honest! Brolly is a fantastic character too, hes pure evil! I may do him next come to think of it.
