Awhile back I noticed the characters of NWN2 seemed familiar... they each seemed to match another character personality/class from Baldur's Gate!!So my fertilely abstract mind began to wonder what it would be like if they met and what they would say. So this is to be the first in a series...
Here are the two snarky sorcerors, Edwin (BG1&2) and Sand (NWN2). Well, technically wizards. Wise-ass wizards.
Adding the lightning for the staff was kind of a late idea, so the lighting effects aren't really fully developed, but I spent a ton of time working on the rest of it so I hope it doesn't stand out too much. I wanted to post it before I go to work so I tried to finish heh.

I've just had this mental image of Edwin dressing as a djinni because of the pointy shoes.
And I can totally picture Sand replying: "Well, at least *I* didn't turn myself into a woman".

S: "... and a hamster, and you developed a certain attraction for Boo..."

These two are perfect. But if they fighted, I think I'd keep Sandie.

The worst is, it happened.
Never take a mage to Watcher's Keep. Never. Odd things will happen. Like hyper pink-haired girls turning into hyper, orange skinned, pink-haired chickens.

I am so angry with myself at not having the intelligence to make a Sand romance mod, because so many of us are truly, madly, deeply in love with that beautiful elf.

there's always fan fiction, at least! I have read some really great stuff featuring him; he's awfully amusing. And I <3 any romance where you can be all saucy and sarcastic right back, which would make him very near ideal...

Agreed! I don't understand how they could draw those characters, make Sand so dreadfully attractive and not offer him as a romance option. Dirty, cruel Bishop they made plans for but super smart, witty Sand they didn't? Come on. Its fun to do fanfics and art but those are static...sometimes I just drag out one of my OCs and stand and talk to him just to see him MOVE you know?
Yes, I acknowledge I have it pretty bad for Sand.

Hmmm...how about looking into some of the contributions for the fanart challeng over at Spellhold Studios, with the topic "Xan"? When I drew my entry for that, I had difficulty at first too, for the same reason because his portrait was so vague. You can find it here: [link]
Be careful, there might be the occasional spoiler of the Xan romance mod for BG 2. The worst one is probably on page 2: If you haven't played the module yet, I suggest you don't read the animated banner in one of the posts on the second page.
But it also has four very awesome entries by Orthodoxia. Particuarly the last one is drool inducing. ^_^
