entry for the Isom contest.

I guess it was underwhelming af. Seems most of my work is underwhelming. I really did try hard to make it look cool.
I lost motivation to try again. I am doing my own project and will follow Eric July's example.

respect the fans, respect the SOURCE MATERIAL! ( when you work for someone else, it's not YOUR work...)
you are given the opportunity to continue a legacy, especially an IP that has stood the test of time... do NOT
riddle it with your beliefs and agendas then complain when folks reject your book... many people write hundreds of

comics... and they all suck, doesn't mean they are a pro. a pro handles affairs with respect

does not throw fits, tantrums, attack criticism, they handle things with class or have someone who can handle it do so for them

to avoid a mess.

I'm gonna work to making good comics with no drama or politics and such. just fun stories for everybody too.

The new characters for the second book look epic. specially the villain and the hot cowgirl.
I like drawing like this, it doesn't take forever to finish and I have a lot of fun drawing in this style.

I could probably do something better but this is all I had in me at the time. I really did work hard

but the reactions have spoken, and it's not a good submission.
hey, mediocre crap, is still crap.

when you make art for a comic it needs to POP, it NEEDS to shine, it NEEDS to impress so people will grab the book and get sucked in.
You dont make it as ugly or halfhearted as possible with sub par art work.
That is why stuff works and others flop.
well again, I tried... I failed....

maybe next time. but atm I need to work on my stuff. Nobody will support my work if I don't do any at all and try.
