The imagery in this is an excellent metaphor for a rainy day and feeling down. The cloud overhead, the slump in the posture all point to that and the message comes through very well.
That being said, I feel like the rain shouldn't continue through the lines when it hits the body. Two lines on the head and another two on the body... all four should be erased after they drop on the person.
I believe that would improve this piece and give it the final push towards making it perfect.
Overall, great work with simple forms to create a powerful image.

That is one sad I. I really like this piece. Simple yet the message is clear. I do think looking at the top comment that the opinion on the lines not going through the body is unfair. In 3D space, rain could be also behind, and in front of the subject. Great work!

I too came to the same conclusion with 3D space.
Taking away lines of rain would remove the overall look.
The head & body already show rain deflected that could not be dodged.
A drip falling vertical from face might distract.
An iMe' with the blues.
