Nice picture, i like it!
Their expressions are awesome and the coloring is pretty much fitting the scene.
Two things caught my eye:
I noticed both her feet lying on the ground. Thats not quite a comfortable sitting position. Letting one foot standing up might help.
Also, a light blue just for the sky (like you did with the grass) would give the picture some more depth.

And her left foot is not lying on the ground (maybe it looks that way due to my artistic limitations), only her heel is touching the ground and the front of her boot is actually floating.

Yeah, filter can be quite evil. ^^
It floats a little, you implied it with the shadow, yeah. Maybe it helps then to draw the right foot the same way. If you don't know which foot is the right one, just try to sit that way yourself. I myself can't put the foot completely on the floot like that.
But I know the problem, drawing feet is hard.
