Beautifully done. It shows so much patience, the shading is so soft it looks realistic.

Very nice, and beautifully done. I can never do roses--they always end up looking like peonies.
You have wonderful smooth shading here, and the composition is great. My only suggestion would be to lighten the tips of the petals a bit, so they look like they're hit by the sun.
Great work!

Thank you so much for your honest critique and kind words! I really appreciate it.
I actually did try to get it a little bit lighter, but the paper took on a lot of the charcoal and I got lazy

Amazing drawing.
I really love how you make a wonderful values with black and white on the rose, it gives a classic feel into your work. The shading are really smooth and give a soft texture on the rose. However, the only thing that can be improve is the space between the petals can be a little more darker so the petals can pop up more.
All in all; I really love your drawings and I can't wait to see more of the flower series, keep it up.
