Description
Here's my 3rd variation of a house in a tree, but this time I joined it with my latest "paranoia", mushrooms.
This is some more playing around with Stable Diffusion. Lately I've seen a lot of hate directed towards AI generated art, especially here in DA, to the point of almost hysteria. People seem afraid. It's like the fear painters had when photography was invented. Yes, professions and companies are regularly made obsolete with technological progress. Look at Blockbuster, for example. Nothing can stop progress, not even a bunch of hysterical people. Evolution is made by those who adapt to change, not by the ones who resist change.
As all of you can see in my gallery, I can also make non-AI art. I've done so successfully for many years. For me, AI tools are just that, another tool. I've used plenty of tools in the years I've been making images, this is just another one that allows me to express in ways I couldn't before.
I can't paint in traditional methods or in 2D digital tools. So for many years I used 3D to express myself, like many others. Why didn't 2D artists rebel against 3D artists? After all, 3D can be used as a way to compensate for the lack of talent in 2D tools. It sure is my case.
People call AI art a form of theft. If that's the case, then all art is theft because nothing is truly new in this world, everything is just a variation of something else, even if just at a subconscious level. Some people call it "references"...
The AI images I post in my gallery are not the result of 2 words in a prompt. There's a lot of experimentation and several techniques. This one, for example, is a mix of so many different techniques I even lost count. But even if they were simple to make - what does that matter? Why should the effort behind an image make the image worth more? How much work is there in the colored rectangles in Mondrian's images, for example, which are worth millions?
People should just enjoy beauty, regardless of the way it was made.
