I am aware of the hate that The Land Before Time sequels get. Here are the most common arguments, and how I will counter them:

"The Land Before Time sequels are awful!"

Okay, while The Land Before Time does have some sequels I don't know what to make of, like The Stone of Cold Fire and Journey to Big Water and some below average sequels; The Invasion of the Tinysauruses and The Great Day of the Flyers and even that awful The Wisdom of Friends. However, to me, some of the sequels to this movie are quite good, like The Great Valley Adventure, The Time of Great Giving, The Mysterious Island and The Great Migration. Especially when it comes to storytelling.

"Singing dinosaurs are annoying!"

Sometimes, maybe the dinosaurs breaking into song can get annoying, but when you think about it, some of the songs are quite catchy, like Eggs, You're One of Us Now, When You're Big, Standing Tough, Who Needs You?, Friends for Dinner, Bad Luck, and Imaginary Friend.

"The original will always be best!"

Okay, maybe the original is superior in a lot of ways, like showing the birth of our Prehistoric Pals (save Petrie), showing the concept of death (The death of Littlefoot's mother and our Prehistoric Pals killing the Sharptooth by drowning him), being completely dark (Sharptooth being an ultra vicious villain), and the beautiful music by James Horner (Rest in peace, man), and it is sadder still when you learn what happened to Ducky's original voice actress before it was even released (Rest in peace Judith). But the sequels can have good moments on their own, including Ozzy and Strut being humorous, Ichy and Dil not getting along, Hip, Mutt and Nod being tough guys, the birth of Chomper, lessons about survival, Ali's relationship with Littlefoot, villainous Sharpteeth who aren't always T-Rex, and appearances of Littlefoot's dad).

So yeah, I don't think all the sequels to this movie are bad.
