THIS IS A COMMISSION PIECE FOR TIMESHIFT of his character Luane, the female Lugia! And yes she does have a lilac tummy.The story (written by TimeShift himself) goes like this:
Luane was trying to get through a Hurricane, she was always told 'Don't fly through black clouds!' - but ignored it. Within the cloud a large piece of hail hit her left eye, broke apart and smashed against her left wing, so she tried to land...but the wind was strong. Very strong - and with her left eye out of order she didn't see the rocks to her left. Then she landed, but a strong wind from the right whirled her up again, let her slip to the left...
the rock stopped her slipping definately. But in a very painful way..
If anyone crits I will ignore it because this is exactly how he wanted it, both of us are Lugia anatomy experts so don't moan about the feet/legs or anything. >_>
Ok 16 layers in total, quite a few hours work. Please, just NO crits.

That has got to be 1 of the worst way for anything to suffer disastrous injuries. I read the fanfic 1st and it really did seem as painful as this.

Awesome, shows lots of movement well. And that must be helluva storm to put a freakin' Lugia out of action.
Not criticising, but may I ask why the face was put in a speech bubble, rather than just drawing the whole thing?

no need for a too bad storm...just...well...bad circumstances and a chain-reaction.
and why I requested it that way. Well...the whole body drawn would have distracted of the essential message the picture has. The thing that would change her life quite radical after this incident.
