ability notes
the support systems in hazard's chassis essentially makes it impervious to damage. though its robotic frame can of course be physically damaged, its life support systems essentially make its actual organic body invulnerable and self-regenerative. it will, however, immediately begin to die when separated from these systems; its body can last about thirty minutes outside of its casing on average.

to protect itself, it is able to generate EMP pulses, disrupt magnetic and gravitational fields in its immediate surroundings (allowing it to float both itself freely, and any objects or individuals very close to or in contact with it), and fire softball-sized blasts of purple energy from the machine located in its chest. Sustained use of these abilities for anything more than floating itself will drain its reserves over time.

personality
though it appears to be a robot, Hazard is a synthetic life form in a robot shell, and so it has no problem both expressing and understanding emotion, but also does not have a particularly logical way of percieving the world, and its childlike mannerisms can be quite surprising for those expecting something more like its compatriot, Glitch.
it is curious, playful, and impulsive-- but since sometimes it doesn't quite seem to understand that other people both can't regenerate and aren't robots, and so it can be a bit lackadaisical about dropping people from height and hurling things against walls and the like. it doesn't know its own strength and often forgets that other people are significantly less resilient than it, to humorous effect.

it can be quite childish, and grows frustrated and bored easily when it doesn't understand something. it has very little emotional inertia, going from throwing a tantrum one second to poking something with a stick the next. it's always looking for something new to entertain itself with and is often amused by the simplest things, to the point that its attention span is kind of shoddy.

more than anything, it absolutely hates being confined to small spaces (the confines of its chassis? a-okay. its chassis being boxed in or contained? Bad) or feeling like it's being scrutinized or studied.

backstory
a failed G.U.N. experiment in replicating the Shadow project; the goal was to create an entity that exceeded Project Shadow, by creating a synthetic life form that not only had its own abilities, but would be enhanced by a robotic life support system. the project was headed by the same scientist who headed the Artificial Chaos v2 program, hence the same lacking level of originality and cribbing from Gerald Robotnik's work.

rather than creating an advanced creature, however, all experimentation produced vestigial creatures that could not survive even on life support thanks to corruption caused by introducing chaos energy to the lab-grown fetal organisms. when one was created that was able to survive at all, H-2, the project pivoted to focusing on enhancing its life support system. this information is now used in G.U.N.'s medical facilities, so despite his bad track record between his two Robotnik-ripoff projects, the scientist at work has not lost his job yet.
